In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, the Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team secured a commanding three-set victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels during the second round of the NCAA tournament at the UW Field House in Madison. The match, which took place on December 5, 2025, showcased the Badgers’ determination and strategic prowess, echoing their earlier first-round success against Eastern Illinois.
The Badgers started strong in their first-round matchup against Eastern Illinois on December 4, where they also won in three straight sets. Setter Charlie Fuerbringer played a crucial role throughout both matches, serving as the key playmaker for her teammates. Her precise sets and ability to handle challenging situations were instrumental in both victories. Fuerbringer’s knack for executing effective plays, including her attempts at setter dumps, highlighted her versatility and on-court awareness.
