Aya Gold & Silver Inc. has announced promising results from its ongoing exploration program at the Boumadine property in Morocco. The exploration has seen a significant number of drill holes completed this year, which adds to the geological understanding and resource potential of the area.
In total, 346 diamond drill holes (DDH), 37 reverse circulation holes (RC), and 20 multi-purpose drill holes (MP) have been conducted, totaling 102,979 meters of drilling. This extensive effort has primarily focused on the Main Trend and regional targets, including the newly identified Asirem Zone.
Early results from drill holes—including various significant intercepts—indicate a high-grade continuity in the Main Trend, which remains open for further exploration in all directions. Noteworthy results include high gold (Au) and silver (Ag) values from several drill holes. For instance, notable intervals include 2.41 g/t Au and 50 g/t Ag from BOU-DD25-500, and a remarkable 6.69 g/t Au with 1 g/t Ag from BOU-DD25-568. The drilling has confirmed not only a mineralization continuation of the Imariren zone but also extensive mineralization widths, with some intersections exceeding 10 meters.
The Asirem zone has shown exceptional potential, with grab sample results revealing up to 12.2 g/t Au and 4.1% Cu. Geologically, the Asirem is predominantly composed of Neoproterozoic rocks, with various ore veins showcasing promising mineralization. The underlying structures are characterized by significant faults that add to the complexity of the mineralization pattern observed in the area.
The exploration team at Aya Gold & Silver has emphasized that additional drilling will aim to expand these mineralized trends and test further geological hypotheses generated over the past three years. The program continues to advance toward a preliminary economic assessment while focusing equally on expanding known zones and exploring new targets.
Looking ahead, Aya is mobilizing drill rigs to complete a comprehensive drilling program ranging between 100,000 to 140,000 meters of drilling. This ambitious project will see half of the drilling dedicated to extending existing mineralization, while the remaining half will focus on greenfield exploration in previously untapped areas.
To ensure rigorous quality control, Aya employs best practices in sampling and analysis at its designated labs. Each sample from core drilling represents approximately one meter in length, further supporting the scientific validity of their ongoing exploration efforts.
Overall, the results and plans laid out by Aya Gold & Silver suggest a robust future for the Boumadine project, highlighting both immediate drilling ambitions and long-term potential for substantial resource development in the region.
