A fire that broke out Wednesday afternoon near Red Rock Canyon in Colorado Springs has been successfully extinguished by local fire crews. Responding to the incident at approximately 2:40 p.m., firefighters arrived in the vicinity of South 31st Street and Highway 24, where they encountered a grass fire measuring about 10 feet by 10 feet in size.
By 3:03 p.m., the blaze had been brought under control, ensuring the safety of the surrounding area. The Colorado Springs Fire Department took this opportunity to remind residents that despite recent snowfall, dry conditions persist in the region. This warning serves as a precautionary measure for the community, highlighting the potential risks associated with outdoor fires during dry weather conditions.
