Emirates Coin Investment LLC (EmCoin), the UAE’s pioneering virtual asset trading platform sanctioned by the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), has officially partnered with Crypto.com through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration aims to enhance user experience by providing EmCoin users with streamlined access to digital asset trading.
The agreement outlines plans for potential integrations that would utilize Crypto.com’s extensive global liquidity and infrastructure. Depending on regulatory approvals, this partnership intends to improve EmCoin’s trade execution capabilities and broaden its cryptocurrency offerings, enabling users to engage in transactions with tighter spreads. Both companies emphasize the importance of regulatory compliance, underscoring their commitment to a secure and user-friendly environment for digital asset trading.
Yasin Arafat, Chief Operations Officer of EmCoin, stated, “Our focus is on making digital asset holdings easier to access, manage, and move—without compromising on security and user protection.” He added that the partnership with Crypto.com would combine their respective strengths in expertise and liquidity, facilitating larger trade volumes.
Eric Anziani, President and Chief Operating Officer of Crypto.com, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting their goal of making digital asset interaction safe and regulated. He noted, “Making it easier for people to interact with digital assets in a regulated and safe environment is at the core of everything we do.”
Furthermore, the partnership includes initiatives to explore the tokenization of EmCoin’s real-world assets. Crypto.com aims to leverage its technologies, along with those of strategic partners such as the Cronos EVM chain, to support this effort in accordance with relevant regulations.
The collaboration demonstrates the UAE’s position as an emerging global hub for regulated digital finance and innovation. Alain Yacine, President of Middle East and Latin America at Crypto.com, emphasized that collaborating with innovative platforms like EmCoin is vital for advancing digital asset adoption in the region. He remarked, “Together we’re able to focus our joint expertise on introducing capabilities and services that make engaging in the digital assets space a simpler and more straightforward process.”
EmCoin is notable as the UAE’s first multi-asset investment platform licensed by the SCA, delivering a fully regulated environment for virtual assets alongside foreign exchange, equities, ETFs, and commodities—all in one secure application. This initiative aims to set new benchmarks for transparency and governance within the investment ecosystem in the region.
