President Donald Trump’s memecoin initiative is making headlines once more, as the organization behind the $TRUMP cryptocurrency extends an invitation to its top holders for a lavish meal at the Trump family’s private Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, set to take place in late April. This exclusive event is touted as a “once-in-a-lifetime” experience and is being marketed as “THE MOST EXCLUSIVE CRYPTO & BUSINESS CONFERENCE IN THE WORLD,” featuring a gala luncheon with Trump anticipated as the keynote speaker.
The event promises an impressive attendance, boasting “18 global superstars,” although the identities of these notable figures have not been disclosed. Following the announcement, the price of the $TRUMP memecoin surged nearly 60%, according to Binance data, though it has since experienced a decline.
This forthcoming gathering marks the second occasion for the top holders of the memecoin to convene. In May 2025, the inaugural dinner at Trump’s Virginia golf club saw the attendance of the top 220 holders, where Trump himself made a brief appearance. Critics, particularly from the Democratic side, labeled the gathering a “pay-for-access scheme.” A White House spokesperson defended the event, stating that the President’s focus remains on securing beneficial deals for the American populace.
Yet, the reception of the previous dinner was mixed, with some attendees expressing disappointment over the food quality. Notably, Nicholas Pinto, a 25-year-old social media influencer, described the meal as “trash,” specifically labeling the steak as akin to “Walmart steak.”
Despite these grievances, event organizer Bill Zanker, a long-time Trump associate, is coordinating another gathering. This time, the guest list has expanded to include the top 297 holders of $TRUMP, with the top 29 holders granted access to a VIP reception alongside Trump and other celebrity guests. In the inaugural dinner, attendees included figures like crypto billionaire Justin Sun, former NBA star Lamar Odom, and Jack Lu, CEO of the NFT marketplace Magic Eden.
Pinto expressed his intention to attend the upcoming event despite his earlier complaints, noting the opportunity to reconnect with influential figures in the cryptocurrency realm. Although he has sold part of his holdings, he retains approximately $40,000 in the memecoin. Pinto shared that his parents are concerned about his decision to attend another event, but he views it as a valuable networking opportunity.
While the event’s promotional materials highlight Trump’s presence, a White House official indicated that the President’s attendance has not yet been confirmed, pointing out that he is scheduled to attend the White House correspondents’ dinner on the same day as the conference.
Zanker has not responded to inquiries regarding Trump’s confirmation of attendance or the identities of the “global superstars” expected at the event. The conference’s promotional page emphasizes a partnership with Robinhood, which is reportedly aiding users in connecting their accounts to track their memecoin holdings. Robinhood clarified that the integration was conducted without financial compensation from either party.
As anticipation builds for this high-profile gathering, it remains to be seen how the event will unfold and how attendees will respond, especially in light of the criticisms and mixed experiences from the previous dinner.
