In a significant leadership transition, Grayscale Investments Sponsors, LLC has announced the appointment of Kathryn Masci and Daniel Plourde as Co-Chief Financial Officers of the Grayscale Chainlink Trust ETF, effective July 2, 2026. The decision follows the resignation of current Chief Financial Officer Edward McGee, who is stepping down for personal reasons after seven years with the company.
Kathryn Masci, who has been with Grayscale since May 2020 and has served as the Senior Vice President of Finance since January 2026, will also take on the role of Principal Financial and Accounting Officer for the Trust. Her extensive background includes positions at Garrison Capital Inc. and Pzena Investment Management, along with earlier experience at Ernst & Young LLP. Masci holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Accounting from Binghamton University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New York.
Daniel Plourde, who has been with Grayscale since September 2022 and also served as Assistant Treasurer for the Grayscale Funds Trust, brings over two decades of financial services experience. His previous roles include significant positions at Gabelli Asset Management and State Street Global Advisors, where he garnered expertise in treasury, fund administration, and financial planning. Plourde has earned an MBA with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
Grayscale expressed gratitude towards McGee for his contributions over the years, noting that he leaves the position on amicable terms. The company now looks forward to the leadership of Masci and Plourde during this pivotal time as it continues to navigate the evolving landscape of digital assets and ETFs.
The Grayscale Chainlink Trust ETF, trading under the symbol GLNK on NYSE Arca, is registered as an emerging growth company, allowing it certain accommodations as it continues to develop within the investment space.
