As the United States marks its 250th Independence Day, Ripple, the company known for its popular cryptocurrency XRP, is stepping up to support a noteworthy cause for veterans. In a recent announcement, Ripple revealed its partnership with the nonprofit organization Call of Duty Endowment, which is dedicated to helping unemployed military veterans secure high-quality jobs after serving in the armed forces.
The Call of Duty Endowment has made significant strides, having already funded job placements for over 165,000 veterans. However, it has underscored the pressing issue of elevated unemployment rates among younger veterans, emphasizing the ongoing need for assistance in the job market. This aligns with the organization’s ambitious initiative to find jobs for an additional 200,000 veterans by the year 2030.
In celebration of the nation’s milestone birthday, Ripple has committed to the Giving4th initiative, which seeks to transform Independence Day into a national day of charitable giving. As part of this effort, Ripple has pledged to match donations made to the Call of Duty Endowment, contributing up to $10,000 in total.
Individuals wishing to participate in this charitable endeavor can donate through various means, including cash, stocks, or cryptocurrencies. Notably, both XRP and RLUSD, Ripple’s native tokens, can be used as options for contributions.
Ripple’s involvement in the #Giving4th campaign resonates with the spirit of Independence Day, highlighting the importance of giving back to those who have served the country. The announcement underscores Ripple’s commitment to social responsibility, particularly in supporting veterans as they transition into civilian life and work.
