Bitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), has announced the continuation of its partnership with the UNICEF Game Changers Coalition (GCC) for a second year, furthering its commitment to improve digital literacy and technology access for underserved communities. Since its inception, the coalition has impacted over 642,000 young people, parents, and teachers across eight emerging economies, with a notable emphasis on enhancing the skills of young women, who account for 52% of participants.

The GCC, propelled by UNICEF’s Office of Innovation, aims to broaden technology education through collaboration between public and private sectors. The coalition currently operates in Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, and South Africa, facilitating practical digital skill-building through a dynamic curriculum, community-based learning programs, and both online and in-person game hackathons.

Bitget initially joined the coalition in June 2025 through its partnership with UNICEF Luxembourg, contributing to the overarching goal of fostering digital literacy in emerging markets. As part of its renewed commitment in the partnership’s second year, Bitget plans to aid in expanding GCC’s curriculum and geographical reach, introducing new content related to financial literacy and artificial intelligence, as well as blockchain education anticipated in 2026.

Throughout the first year, Bitget implemented several initiatives to enhance awareness and participation in technology education. A highlight was a visit to Cambodia by Bitget’s Chief Marketing Officer, Ignacio Aguirre, where he connected with students, educators, and local partners involved in digital skills programs. This visit underscored the vital role that foundational digital education plays in creating employment and entrepreneurial pathways, particularly for young women and students in underserved areas.

The partnership has also facilitated broader youth engagement through various events and interactive learning opportunities. Notably, Bitget’s CEO, Gracy Chen, participated in GCC’s inaugural global UNICEF Game Jam—a 40-day initiative encouraging young creators in emerging markets to develop original video games while receiving mentorship and an online course.

Gracy Chen emphasized the urgent need for education systems to adapt to the rapid integration of technology in daily life. She remarked on the enthusiasm displayed by young people when provided with access and opportunity, stating that the aim extends beyond merely introducing digital tools; it focuses on fostering confidence and long-term digital and financial literacy that can unlock broader opportunities.

As global demand for digital skills surges, especially in regions where young populations are navigating a rapidly changing digital landscape without adequate educational resources, Bitget has remained committed to expanding education-driven initiatives that support long-term industry growth.

Thomas Davin, Global Director at UNICEF Office of Innovation, highlighted the pressing need to equip young people with the skills necessary to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven economy. He noted that the GCC represents a collaborative effort to ensure that the next generation is prepared to succeed in this evolving landscape, and with Bitget’s support, the initiative aims to reach even more youth.

Looking ahead, the partnership is set to expand into three additional countries while incorporating new modules focusing on financial literacy and AI within GCC’s curriculum. Bitget will continue to engage through field visits and support for coalition-led learning experiences, reinforcing its role in shaping a digitally literate future for young people globally.
