Bitget, recognized as the world’s leading Universal Exchange (UEX), has solidified its commitment to innovation and education through an annual partnership with the Google Developer Group on Campus (GDGoC) at ETH Zurich. This collaboration is a crucial aspect of Bitget’s educational initiative, Blockchain4Youth, aimed at fostering a strong understanding of emerging technologies among students.
The Google Developer Group on Campus serves as a dynamic platform for tech enthusiasts, hosting over 1,260 clubs globally and specifically thriving in Zurich since its inception in 2020. The ETH Zurich chapter promotes hands-on learning experiences through talks, workshops, hack nights, and community events designed to engage developers, designers, and researchers.
In the coming year, Bitget, alongside GDG Zurich, plans to co-organize various educational initiatives that will enhance students’ knowledge in evolving technologies. These initiatives will feature panel discussions and practical activities focused on Web3 technologies. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to apply for Bitget’s Graduate Program, which emphasizes experiential learning in the blockchain sector.
Ignacio Aguirre, the Chief Marketing Officer at Bitget, expressed pride in the collaboration, highlighting a shared commitment to nurturing future innovators. Aguirre stated, “Through this long-term partnership, we aim to further our shared commitment to innovation and education,” noting that education is pivotal for navigating the rapidly changing landscape of the Web3 market.
Dario Monopoli, the Lead of GDG on Campus Zurich, also conveyed enthusiasm about the partnership. He mentioned that the alliance offers students real-world insights and practical skills in areas like algorithmic trading and blockchain infrastructure, moving beyond theoretical knowledge.
The synergy of this partnership initially flourished earlier this year with sponsorships of multiple events, beginning with the “Build with AI” Hackathon at Constructor University, which attracted 130 participants. Subsequent events included the “AI Accelerate Hack” at KU Leuven and the Devfest at Google’s offices in Brussels.
Planned future events may feature hackathons in collaboration with other tech communities and opportunities for specialized meetups. These gatherings aim to include industry expert sessions and hands-on workshops, with Bitget aspiring to contribute actively to the growth of the Web3 community and the broader understanding of blockchain technology.
