Chipotle Unveils Holiday Freebie Promotions for December

The popular fast-casual restaurant chain Chipotle is gearing up for a festive December filled with exciting promotions designed to reward customers during the holiday season. Based in Newport Beach, California, Chipotle is introducing a series of buy-one, get-one (BOGO) offers on entrées, set to take place over three consecutive Saturdays in December.

On December 6, patrons enjoyed the first event, “Tacos BOGO,” where customers who purchased a three-taco entrée received another at no charge. Following this promotion, the next opportunity will occur on December 13, designated as “Burrito BOGO” day, allowing customers to receive a complimentary entrée with any burrito purchase made in-store after 4 p.m. local time. This offer encompasses a variety of entrée options, including salads, bowls, tacos, and burritos.

The holiday promotional campaign, dubbed “Unwrapped Extra,” will culminate on December 20 with “Extra Sweater Day,” encouraging customers to don their most creative or festive sweaters in order to qualify for the final BOGO offer of the season. Chipotle’s leadership emphasized that this initiative aims to foster community and camaraderie among guests as they share meals with loved ones. Chris Brandt, president and chief brand officer at Chipotle, highlighted the company’s commitment to giving back to its customers, stating that this series of promotions is their largest holiday campaign to date.

Customers interested in taking part in these December promotions must be informed that the BOGO offers are redeemable exclusively in participating restaurants across the United States. The offer cannot be combined with other discounts, promotions, or coupons, and customers are limited to a maximum of five free items per transaction. Importantly, kids’ meals do not qualify as an entrée purchase.

In addition to enticing offers for general customers, Chipotle is targeting college students with a fresh initiative called “Bowl Eligible.” This program allows Chipotle U Rewards Members attending universities whose football teams are eligible for the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) postseason to receive a free entrée upon making a purchase. A total of 84 universities are included in this campaign, and students must join Chipotle U Rewards by December 18 to take advantage of the offer. Existing members attending eligible schools will receive access to the promotion earlier, specifically on December 10 and December 19.

To claim their free entrée, Chipotle U Rewards Members need to place an order through the Chipotle app or the company’s website within a week of the offer being added to their accounts. In a season marked by giving, Chipotle’s promotions reflect the brand’s commitment to connecting with and celebrating its diverse customer base.

With an array of special deals and incentives, December promises to be a month of enjoyment and generosity for Chipotle patrons.
