Crypto.com has announced a strategic partnership with Plasma, a Layer 1 blockchain optimized for stablecoin implementation, to provide enhanced secure custody and liquidity solutions for its digital assets. This collaboration is set to offer what both parties describe as “institutional-grade security, compliance, and seamless asset management” across Plasma’s extensive global network.

Crypto.com Custody will specifically cater to eligible institutions and high-net-worth clients, offering a comprehensive end-to-end custodial solution that emphasizes safety and security. The infrastructure will enable institutions to securely manage XPL, the native token of the Plasma blockchain, which plays a vital role in facilitating transactions and rewarding validators.

The integration allows institutions to automatically deposit their tokens into regulated cold vaults equipped with heightened security features, transparent audit trails, and streamlined compliance processes—elements critical for maintaining trust in a rapidly evolving digital asset landscape. Additionally, these institutions will gain access to Crypto.com’s liquidity pool, facilitating fast, reliable, and cost-efficient currency conversions.

Eric Anziani, President and Chief Operating Officer of Crypto.com, highlighted the necessity for custodial solutions tailored to the needs of digital asset organizations. He expressed excitement about supporting the Plasma Foundation, ensuring that their stablecoin operations are secured with institutional-grade custody, thus preparing them for global scalability.

Paul Faecks, CEO and co-founder of Plasma, emphasized the project’s ambition to build stablecoin infrastructure for a new global financial system. He articulated pride in partnering with Crypto.com to implement custodial solutions that aim to encompass participants from across the globe, bringing them on-chain.

Founded in 2016, Crypto.com has earned the trust of users worldwide and is recognized as a leader in regulatory compliance, security, and privacy in the cryptocurrency space. With a vision of “Cryptocurrency in Every Wallet,” the company is dedicated to accelerating cryptocurrency adoption and fostering an equitable digital ecosystem by empowering future builders, creators, and entrepreneurs.

Plasma is notably designed to streamline global stablecoin payments, featuring gasless USD₮ transactions, custom gas tokens, and a high throughput capacity. This infrastructure is poised to enhance stablecoin liquidity and distribution, allowing developers and institutions to create more efficient payment and financial applications.
