DOVU has achieved a significant milestone with the successful full distribution of its utility token, a feat that distinguishes it from many other cryptocurrency projects. This announcement comes alongside the launch of a new token, TRUST, which is designed to facilitate operations within a credentialing layer known as Authority Trail. Together, these developments are set to transform how DOVU manages workflows, authority, and long-term value within its Hedera-based ecosystem.
Over its nearly ten-year journey since inception, DOVU has successfully distributed all 10 billion tokens. Currently, approximately 58% of the circulating supply is securely locked in non-custodial staking, while on-chain activity remains robust. DOVU transactions accounted for over 23% of all Hedera Token Service transactions as of late June 2026. This shift in distribution not only stabilizes token economics but also allows the development team to reallocate focus towards enhancing DOVU OS and maintaining its operational velocity.
DOVU OS serves as the foundational infrastructure for the entire project, effectively recording interactions between parties to generate verifiable digital assets. Although carbon credits are the leading output, the system’s design is applicable to various real-world assets. As data moves through the workflow—from submission by suppliers to validation and permanent recording on Hedera—each asset is coupled with a searchable audit trail.
The protocol also aims to simplify and standardize how enterprises can query large datasets. For instance, buyers can filter through thousands of tokenized carbon credits based on specific criteria such as verification methods or project types. This user-friendly design makes DOVU OS well-suited for managing a range of digital records and tokenized assets.
In tandem with DOVU OS, the Authority Trail introduces a pivotal credentialing component that records credentials and authorizations in real-time on the Hedera network. This functionality allows anyone to verify if individuals were authorized to act during specific transactions. The design is fully non-custodial, enabling users to maintain control over their own keys while participating through various supported wallets.
Recently launched, the TRUST token features a total supply of 100 billion tokens and is integrated closely with Authority Trail’s operations. Every transaction involving Authority Trail necessitates a payment in TRUST, which effectively regulates the write layer for credentialing actions. Long-term DOVU stakers were rewarded with a vested airdrop of TRUST in recognition of their commitment to the project.
The implications of these updates extend beyond carbon credits. The Authority Trail can be utilized to ensure compliance and verification within supply chains, linking assets such as farm origins or assembly documents to verified credentials. This innovation directly addresses the growing issue of static credentials in organizations, which can lead to fraud when roles and authorizations change.
The launch of Authority Trail positions Hedera as a pioneering network with a public authority-state protocol integrated into a practical RWA pipeline through DOVU OS. The framework not only enhances enterprise utility but also aligns with existing compliance requirements, thereby enhancing trust and transparency for all ecosystem participants. With both DOVU and TRUST serving their unique functions, they create a cohesive environment aimed at fostering long-term value and operational integrity within the growing crypto landscape.
