A significant development has occurred in the drone technology sector as stock prices for Draganfly surged by 10% on Monday. This uptick follows the announcement that the company has been selected to provide its modular Flex FPV drones and associated training services to U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command units. This collaboration is being executed in partnership with DelMar Aerospace Corporation, which specializes in UAS training.

Under the terms of the contract, Draganfly will not only supply its advanced Flex FPV drones but will also deliver an extensive training program for Special Operations personnel. The training regimen will focus on First Person View (FPV) UAS instruction, encompassing crucial elements such as drone assembly, repair, flight operations, and advanced mission planning. The initial training sessions are scheduled to commence in mid-February at DelMar’s UAS range facility located in Camp Pendleton.

The Flex FPV drone is designed as a versatile platform that aligns with the evolving operational demands of the Department of War. Its modular architecture allows for swift adaptations to various operational profiles and payload capacities, providing a single unit capable of handling diverse missions.

Cameron Chell, CEO of Draganfly, expressed enthusiasm regarding the partnership, emphasizing the joint focus on enhancing readiness and combat capabilities. Chell stated, “Partnering with DelMar Aerospace helps ensure operators are training on systems and tactics designed for real-world conditions, with the Flex’s modularity and reliability required to adapt as missions and threats evolve.”

This collaboration harnesses Draganfly’s cutting-edge drone technology along with DelMar Aerospace’s rich expertise in training government operators in the effective deployment of uncrewed systems. DelMar is set to oversee the training delivery, curriculum design, and alignment of standards for the initiative.

Stanley Springer, the Chief Operating Officer of DelMar Aerospace, highlighted the importance of the program, stating that the collaboration is focused on “developing operators who are prepared to employ uncrewed systems effectively in demanding environments.”

While the specifics regarding the financial arrangements and operational details of the contract remain undisclosed, the development marks a significant advancement in the integration of drone technology within military operations.
