In a surprising move that merges the worlds of sports and adult content, professional French tennis player Oceane Dodin has launched her official channel on OnlyFans. This platform, known primarily for enabling creators to share private photos and monetize content directly, marks a significant departure from traditional avenues of athlete sponsorship and engagement.
Dodin, who is currently ranked 819 in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings, has experienced previous peaks in her career, reaching a ranking as high as 49th. Her decision to create an OnlyFans account is pioneering within the context of professional tennis, a sport that has historically shunned overt monetization of personal lives. Prior to Dodin’s announcement, only one other player, Ashley Harkleroad, a former professional ranked 39th, had ventured into the world of OnlyFans, doing so only after her retirement from the sport.
In discussing her choice, Dodin also shed light on a recent personal decision involving her body image, having undergone breast surgery for aesthetic reasons. While other athletes, like Simona Halep, have chosen to undergo similar procedures to enhance sports performance, Dodin viewed her surgery as an opportunity to take control of her own desires. “It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” she stated in an interview with RMC Sports. She explained that the downtime required for recovery—approximately two months—coincided with her decision to pull back from competitive play. “If I’m going to stop for six months, I might as well do what I want,” she reflected.
With this step, Dodin positions herself as both a trailblazer and a polarizing figure in professional tennis, potentially influencing how athletes approach self-promotion and monetization off the court. As she embarks on this new chapter, Dodin emphasizes her satisfaction with her decisions, stating unequivocally that she has no regrets.
