Ripple’s President, Monica Long, is set to be the keynote speaker at XRP Seoul on October 3, coinciding with Korea Blockchain Week. This significant event aims to gather more than 3,000 participants, comprising XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) holders, developers, ecosystem projects, and various blockchain businesses, all united by an interest in the XRP Ledger and blockchain finance.
The event is a testament to Ripple’s expanding influence in South Korea, where the company has been actively involved in diverse projects ranging from custody solutions to institutional blockchain infrastructure. Long, who has been with Ripple since 2013, plays a pivotal role in overseeing business, product, and engineering teams as the company enhances its blockchain payments, custody, and tokenization services.
Organizers of XRP Seoul expressed their enthusiasm for Long’s participation, emphasizing her extensive experience in the industry. The agenda for the event includes sessions dedicated to XRP Ledger development, the adoption of institutional applications, and practical uses of blockchain finance, reflecting the growing interest and engagement in the sector.
South Korea has emerged as one of the largest retail markets for XRP, frequently showcasing high-volume trading activity on local exchanges. This surge is often witnessed during periods of heightened market dynamics, underscoring the cryptocurrency’s popularity among Korean traders.
Ripple’s strategy in South Korea also includes collaborative projects, such as a pilot program with Kyobo Life Insurance aimed at facilitating near real-time settlement of tokenized Korean government bonds. This initiative is part of Ripple’s efforts to explore a payment infrastructure utilizing RLUSD, further embedding the company within the region’s financial landscape.
Additionally, initiatives like the XRPL Korea Financial Innovation Program 2026 are fostering local developer engagement, paving the way for innovative blockchain finance projects based on the XRP Ledger. This move not only strengthens Ripple’s position in the local market but also enhances its ties with the developer community in South Korea.
Monica Long’s appearance at XRP Seoul is anticipated to be a prime platform for Ripple to outline how its various offerings, including XRP, RLUSD, and custody services, align with the company’s overarching strategy as it moves forward in expanding institutional blockchain infrastructure. At present, the price of XRP is $1.04.
