Society Pass (Nasdaq: SOPA) has caught the attention of investors following a recent report from Litchfield Hills Research, which indicates a significant disparity between the company’s market capitalization and its underlying asset value. With a market cap of $18 million, the report points out an implied holding-company discount that suggests the true value of SOPA’s consolidated assets and cash could be as much as 1,300% higher than its current market value.
The report highlights two key subsidiaries driving this valuation: Thoughtful Media and NusaTrip. Litchfield Hills projects consolidated revenues from these platforms to increase from $7 million in 2025 to $10 million by 2027. In terms of Thoughtful Media’s prospects, an upcoming initial public offering (IPO) could imply a stake value of approximately $80.1 million for SOPA at the midpoint of its proposed IPO price range of $4.00 to $5.00 per share. This stake represents a staggering 444% of SOPA’s existing market capitalization, further underscoring the perceived disconnect in value.
NusaTrip, another subsidiary, processed $250 million in gross merchandise value (GMV) in 2025 and contributed about 55% of SOPA’s latest quarter revenue. It has recently shifted its focus towards a higher-margin hotel sector, leveraging a broad network of over one million properties via strategic partnerships aimed at improving revenue streams.
While investors responded positively to the report, as evidenced by a 17.37% surge in SOPA’s stock price, a cautious outlook remains. Litchfield Hills notes market skepticism around the company’s current valuation and revenue concentration risks, particularly given that a significant portion of recent quarterly revenues came from NusaTrip.
Moreover, SOPA’s investments in Sapience AI have not been consolidated, adding another layer of uncertainty around their potential financial impact. As the company aims to pivot from a consumer-centric model to one focused on scalable, cash-generative platforms and AI infrastructure, its journey into higher-margin opportunities will be closely watched.
Investors are grappling with the dual narratives of growth potential versus execution risk, as SOPA continues to navigate a rapidly changing market landscape. The recent uptick in stock price and trading activity can also be seen as reflective of a broader market interest in the company’s strategic transformation amidst mounting competitive pressures in the digital landscape.
