In a significant announcement, Kris Marszalek, the CEO of Crypto.com, unveiled plans for the launch of ai.com, a groundbreaking consumer platform designed for creating autonomous AI agents. The platform is set to debut on February 8 and will coincide with a commercial during Super Bowl LX on NBC, highlighting its ambitious entry into the competitive AI landscape.

While specific pricing tiers and technical specifications for the AI agents have not been disclosed, the platform aims to empower users to generate personal AI agents that can handle a variety of tasks. These tasks range from managing calendars and messaging to automating workflows. Marszalek emphasized that the agents possess the capability to autonomously identify and develop missing features necessary to complete tasks, with enhancements being shared across the user network.

Ai.com will feature a user-friendly profile system with both free and paid subscription options. The platform assures that agents operate within isolated environments that utilize user-specific encryption and permission-based controls, alleviating any concerns users might have about privacy. The process of generating an AI agent is touted as swift and straightforward, taking just around 60 seconds, and requiring no advanced technical knowledge.

Looking ahead, the platform envisions future expansions, including capabilities related to stock trading, integrations with financial services, and the establishment of agent marketplaces. However, no specific timeline has been provided for the rollout of these features.

In a noteworthy development, Marszalek indicated that he would maintain his role as CEO of both ai.com and Crypto.com, which has garnered over 150 million users globally.

Amid the excitement surrounding the platform’s launch are questions regarding the acquisition of the ai.com domain. Marszalek claims that the purchase, completed in 2025, represents “the single largest domain purchase in history.” However, details surrounding the acquisition price remain undisclosed. The record for the largest all-cash domain sale is held by Voice.com, which was sold for $30 million in 2019.

Prior to this acquisition, ai.com was owned by OpenAI, which reportedly secured the domain in 2023 for approximately $11 million. In March 2025, the domain was listed for sale at an astonishing $100 million, although no independent confirmations of a completed transaction at that price have emerged. The company has not responded to inquiries concerning the acquisition itself.

As the launch date approaches, many are eager to see how ai.com will shape the future of AI technology and consumer interaction.
