Angers SCO met en place des tarifs préférentiels pour contrer l'afflux de supporters nantais

In a strategic move to enhance the home advantage during the upcoming Ligue 1 clash, Angers SCO has implemented a ticket pricing strategy aimed at managing the influx of FC Nantes supporters. Set to kick off this Friday evening at 20:45, the match at Raymond-Kopa stadium is expected to draw a significant crowd, influenced by the proximity of the two cities—just 80 kilometers apart.

The decision to enforce stricter ticketing policies comes in response to the attendance disparities experienced during their last encounter in September 2024, when the black and white club noted a significant presence of Nantes fans, accounting for approximately 6,000 to 7,000 supporters in a total attendance of 16,000. To counteract this trend, Angers has introduced preferential pricing for their own loyal supporters. Season ticket holders can access tickets for as little as 11 euros, while regular fans benefit from a price of 16 euros. Moreover, these fans are permitted to purchase multiple tickets, encouraging a more robust home turnout.

In stark contrast, the remaining tickets available to the general public are priced considerably higher—31 euros for seats behind the goal and 56 euros for lateral views. This pricing structure, while seen as somewhat prohibitive, has reportedly been well received by the local fanbase, according to club general director Jérôme Negroni, who affirmed that the increase aims to balance the home-support equation while still being acknowledged by the supporters.

As Angers prepares to face off against their regional rivals, the hope remains that the visiting parcage will not dominate the stadium’s atmosphere, allowing the home crowd to play a vital role in their team’s performance. As the match day approaches, anticipation builds around whether this tactical approach to ticket sales will effectively bolster Angers’ home advantage.
