In a significant transition for Fox News Media, Rachel Campos-Duffy is stepping down as host of the Spanish-language program FOX Noticias. The network has officially announced that Andrea Linares will replace her, with the new hosting duties set to commence shortly. Linares will be based out of Miami, while fellow anchors Katrina Campins and Julie Banderas will continue as rotating hosts for the show.
Fox News Media’s senior vice president, John Sylvester, expressed enthusiasm about Linares joining the team, citing confidence that her reporting will resonate strongly with the Latino audience. In her own statement, Linares conveyed her honor in joining FOX Noticias and emphasized her commitment to highlighting impactful stories relevant to the Hispanic community in both South Florida and across the nation.
Linares brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as a news anchor for TelevisaUnivision since 2016. A graduate of the University of Miami, her career began as a general assignment reporter at WLTV in Miami. She later moved to WSBS-TV and served as a news anchor at WGEN-TV.
The network is planning to enhance its Spanish-language offerings in February, with the launch of new digital and audio programs. These initiatives aim to provide audiences with in-depth coverage on a range of topics, including politics, entertainment, and sports. The upcoming programs will feature a daily one-minute news update released multiple times across major digital, social, and podcast platforms, along with a dedicated channel on WhatsApp.
Campos-Duffy, who has been at the helm of FOX Noticias since its inception in October 2024, will shift her focus to her role as a cohost on FOX & Friends Weekend. She is also expected to release a book with Fox News in 2026 and will remain involved with FOX Noticias through potential digital specials.
Known for her rise to fame on MTV’s Real World franchise alongside her husband, Sean Duffy, Campos-Duffy has established a presence at Fox News since 2016, making guest appearances on various programs before officially stepping into the cohosting role in 2021. The changes at FOX Noticias signal a fresh direction for the program and a continued commitment to serving its audience effectively.
